Tibet Press: A Voice for Tibetan Freedom and Solidarity

Tibet Press

Background
Tibet Press (TibetPress.com) is an independent media platform dedicated to reporting on Tibet’s history, culture, human rights, and the ongoing struggle for freedom. It was founded by Uyghur scholar and activist Tahir Imin as a sister project to Uyghur Times, which has long covered Tibet-related issues. Recognizing the shared history of oppression faced by Tibetans and Uyghurs under Chinese rule, Tibet Press aims to foster a collaborative platform for advocacy and solidarity between the two peoples.

Mission and Goals
Tibet Press is committed to shedding light on the realities of Tibetan life—both inside Tibet and within the global Tibetan diaspora. The platform seeks to:

  • Expose human rights abuses and Chinese government policies in Tibet.
  • Document Tibetan history and culture to preserve its rich heritage.
  • Amplify the voices of Tibetans in their struggle for freedom and self-determination.
  • Strengthen Uyghur-Tibetan solidarity by creating a shared space for advocacy and awareness.

Editorial Principles
As an independent media outlet, Tibet Press works only with independent journalists, ensuring accurate and uncompromised reporting. The platform is deeply respectful of Tibetan culture, religion, and history, recognizing the leadership of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan people’s right to determine their own future.

Our Stance
Tibet Press firmly believes that Tibet was occupied by the Chinese government and that Tibetans continue to face severe human rights oppression. We uphold the principle that the Tibetan people have the right to regain their sovereign state and independence.

By bringing together Tibetan, Uyghur, and global voices, Tibet Press stands as a beacon of truth and resistance against oppression.
