For Westerners traveling to Tibet from Nepal, China has new regulations.

Beijing: For travelers who want to go to the Tibet Autonomous Region, new regulations have been implemented by the Chinese government.

In addition to needing a special authorization and a China visa, they also have to organize tours of the area in groups, according to Tibetan Review.

According to Tibetan Review and openpr.com, on May 12, the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu has tightened the scrutiny of China Group Visas for travelers coming from Nepal.

Foreign visitors entering Tibet from Nepal must have a Chinese Group Visa, which is given by the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu.

Travelers may enter Tibet on the pre-planned itinerary after obtaining the Tibet Travel Permit from the Tibet Tourism Bureau with the help of this group visa.
