Chinese authorities issue an arrest warrant for a former Tibetan senior politician.

Ji Guogang, a former deputy chairman of the Standing Committee of the Tibet Autonomous Regional People’s Congress, has been placed under arrest by the Supreme People’s Procuratorate (SPP) on suspicion of bribery and abuse of authority.

According to the SPP, Ji’s case has been thoroughly investigated by the National Commission of Supervision and has been turned over to prosecutors.

The investigation into the matter is continuing.
